Product Description
The VXA-710 is Vertex Standard’s newest Air Band Handheld transceiver featuring both VOR Navigation and Amateur Radio transceiver operation, all in one. Many pilots are also FCC-licensed Amateur Radio operators, as well, and the VXA-710 provides 5 Watts of AM P.E.P. power on the Aviation band, along with 5 Watts of FM power on the 2-meter Ham band, to keep you in touch wherever you operate.
New to the VXA-710 is the full color Strobe LED, which provides indication of a number of transceiver status items using different colors. Different colors may be selected for each of condition. A total of 256 color shades are available for customizing. Also new to this model is Business Radio Service Reception.

Vertex VXA-300 Pilot III Airband Nav-Comm Transceiver

The New VXA-300 Aviator Pilot III is the result of over 45 years of engineering know how. It is compact, stylish, solid hand-held transceiver providing communication (transmit and receive) capability on the International Aircraft Communication Band (”COM” band: 118 ~ 136.975 MHz), and it additionally provides VOR and CDI navigation features on the “NAV” band (108 ~ 117.975 MHz.
The VXA-300 Nav Com Pilot III Transceiver features a more powerful audio amplifier than ANY other handheld airband transceiver and comes supplied with a 1400 mah nickel metal hydride battery pack that provide almost double the battery capacity of Icom’s IC-A23 or IC-A5!

16-button keypad. Direct Frequency Entry from 16 button keypad.
Ni-Cd battery. Offers greater convenience and lower long-term operating cost compared to radios requiring “AA” cell batteries. Wall charger included.
One touch squelch control. Press the monitor button for two seconds and the Pro-V’s squelch remains opened for monitoring weak and distant signals. Press the monitor button again to restore squelch settings.
Battery saver. Designed to maximize the life of the Ni-Cd battery. The Pro V is in the standby mode the battery saver de-energizes the transceivers circuitry, waking it up at user-selected intervals to sample for radio activity. Consumption is minimized while the battery life is maximized.
Menu mode. Allows you easy access to the Menu (”Set”) mode. The “Set” mode is an intuitive feature for changing the operating parameters of the Pro V. This allows you access to squelch settings, clearing memory information, scanning, scan lamp, keypad beep, battery saver settings, display/keypad backlighting, and priority channel check time.
3-way display titling. One keystroke access to three different methods of displaying memory channel information: Frequency, channel number, or alpha-numeric title.

Replacement Lithium Ion battery for the Vertex Standard VXA-710 Aviation Transceiver. This is a high capacity long life 1400mAh Lithium Ion battery. Replaces the original FNB-80 battery.
This replacement lithium battery will work just like the battery that came with your transceiver. It’s the same size and form factor and can use the same wall charger that came with your radio.
